YOON WEEDONG_MONOLOGUE
This work shows the essence of hyper-realism implying the process of sand becoming a stone by depicting a stone sliding over the sand, and its three-dimensional effect is enhanced by applying real sand on the canvas and stacking the stone in relief. Its artist believes that it is natural for him to depict the reason of nature as the artist himself is a part of nature. And the sand and the stone that are vividly revived at the end of the artist’s brush, capture the nature, the universe and the artist himself.
